A Colorado postal employee was shot and killed Wednesday and a suspect was being sought, authorities confirmed to Fox News.

The Longmont Police Department responded to a capturing simply after 12:30 p.m. at Heatherhill Street and Renaissance Drive. When officers arrived, they discovered the USPS employee shot in entrance of neighborhood mailboxes.

The employee died on the scene, police mentioned.

A male suspect was seen fleeing. He was sporting darkish clothes, a hoodie and a blue masks, police mentioned. 

A police search of the realm utilizing Okay-9s was unsuccessful, authorities mentioned.
