Colorado vs Portland preview: How to watch, team news, predicted lineups and ones to watch

The convention semifinals open when the top-seeded Colorado Rapids host the fourth-seeded Portland Timbers at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

Colorado earned the highest seed within the West on the ultimate day of the common season with a win and dropped factors by Seattle and Sporting Kansas City.

Portland defeated Minnesota United 3-1 within the first spherical to earn a spot within the West semis, the place they are going to face the Rapids within the playoffs for the primary time ever.

Team news

Keegan Rosenberry is probably going to miss out due to an unspecified damage. Other than that, Colorado has a full squad to select from.

Andy Polo (quadriceps/leg), Jeff Attinella (ruptured rectus femoris tendon)and Eryk Williamson (torn ACL in left knee) all stay out for Portland.

Ones to watch

William Yarbrough (Colorado)

He was a part of a stingy Rapids protection that allowed the second-lowest targets within the league (35). He performed in all however one sport, led all goalkeepers in wins (17) and tied for the MLS lead in clear sheets (13).

Sebastian Blanco (Portland)

He is the guts and soul of the membership and lifted the Timbers previous Minnesota with a second-half brace. How he performs on this one would be the key to the match.

Previous conferences

This is the third assembly of the season between Colorado and Portland. 

In September, Blanco’s stoppage-time equalizer rescued some extent for the Timbers in a 2-2 draw.

Last month, targets both facet of halftime by Dominique Badji and Diego Rubio gave the Rapids a 2-0 victory.

How to watch

The match will likely be nationally televised on FOX for English-language protection and on FOX Deportes for Spanish-language protection.
