EFCC: Nigerian Senator Bags Seven(7) Years Imprisonment


Lagos Division of the Court Appeal on July 1, 2022 Convicted and Sentenced Senator Nwaoboshi, Senator Representing Delta North Senatorial District of the National Assembly, to Seven years imprisonment.

An Appeal Court throughout the Lagos Division has sentenced Peter Nwaoboshi, representing Delta North Senatorial District on the National Assembly, to Seven years imprisonment following prices of Money Laundering in opposition to him.


Two firms belonging to the Senator, particularly 1.Golden Touch Construction Project Limited 2. Suiming Electrical Limited, to be wound up in step with the supply of half 22 of the money Laundering Prohibition act 2021.

EFCC, The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, had organized the defendants over a property acquired named Guinea dwelling. Located at Marine Road, Apapa, Lagos for the sum of N805 million. Part of the money paid for the property a sum of N322million transferred by Suiming Electrical Limited on behalf of Peter Nwaoboshi and Golden Touch Construction Project Limited was alleged to be proceeds of fraud.f248e7cce7f64e4590b2d340cc82e11f
