Honeywell mandates COVID-19 shots at all U.S. offices


Oct 13 (Reuters) – Honeywell International Inc (HON.O) stated on Wednesday it can require staff at all its U.S. offices and a few manufacturing areas to be vaccinated in opposition to COVID-19 underneath an government order from President Joe Biden for federal contractors.

Other authorities contractors together with Boeing Co (BA.N), International Business Machines Corp (IBM.N) and Raytheon Technologies Corp (RTX.N) have additionally mandated vaccines, with the White House final month setting Dec. 8 because the vaccination deadline for hundreds of thousands of staff of federal contractors.

“The vaccination mandate applies to all Honeywell locations within the U.S. and its territories that support U.S. government contract work. This includes all U.S. office locations,” the conglomerate stated.

However, manufacturing websites not supporting authorities contracts are excluded from the mandate, Honeywell stated. The firm has 41,000 staff within the United States.

Separately, Lockheed Martin Corp (LMT.N) just lately up to date the COVID-19 steerage on its web site to say it will “follow federal, state and local mandates, including those requiring vaccinations.”
