One of the biggest halibut caught off the coast of Scotland was as of late purchased by an house fishmonger for nearly $1,400. 

The halibut, which was 8 toes extended and 4 toes massive, weighed about 287 pounds (130 kg) when it was caught off the Outer Hebrides, an island chain off the worth of Scotland.

Scottish trawler Aquarius, which steadily fishes for cod and haddock, caught the halibut, in response to SWNS.

“I’ve been a fishmonger for 35 years and I have never seen a halibut this size,” Huckle prompt SWNS. “I’ve done big fish before but this is off the scale. It’s the biggest Scottish fish I have ever seen.”

In 2017, the fishmonger purchased a 229-pound (104 kg) halibut, the knowledge agency reported.

 

“…It’s absolutely massive,” he added.
