A suspect is in custody after allegedly capturing a Los Angelespolice officer Thursday morning. 

The officer was on his approach to work at round 5 a.m. when the capturing occurred. Emergency providers rushed the officer to a neighborhood space hospital to deal with his wound, police instructed Fox news.  

The officer was in a pickup truck on the time. The officer managed to drive to the Newton Division station and request assist, FOX LA reported.

The officer was described as being is in a steady situation. 

LAPD officers detained a suspect just a few blocks away. 

Police couldn’t affirm any details about the suspect, however native studies point out that suspect could also be as younger as 14 years previous.

The officer’s truck was seen with one window smashed in.
