Russian court restricts freedoms of doctor who treated Navalny


MOSCOW, Oct 14 (Reuters) – A Russian court on Thursday imposed one 12 months of restrictions on the liberty of motion of Anastasia Vasilyeva, head of a doctor’s union who supported Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, after discovering her responsible of breaching COVID-19 security guidelines.

Vasilyeva, head of the Doctors Alliance commerce union, was prosecuted for urging individuals earlier this 12 months to affix a protest in opposition to Navalny’s imprisonment that authorities mentioned was unlawful resulting from COVID-19 security restrictions.
