Spain to more than halve subsidy for firms specialised in letting property

MADRID, Oct 13 (Reuters) – Spain’s authorities will slash the fiscal subsidy it offers to firms specialised in renting out properties to 40% in 2022, more than halving the present price of 85%, Budget Minister Maria Jesus Montero mentioned on Wednesday.

The leftist coalition authorities agreed on a draft housing regulation which targets the shortage of accesible actual property earlier this month, defining “big landlords” as any entity proudly owning 10 or more properties and transferring to cap rental costs in high-demand zones.
