Thief punches girl, puts her in headlock in NYC subway station: cops


A girl was punched in the face and positioned in a headlock inside a Manhattan subway station early Monday — with the thief then bolting with her purse, cops mentioned.

The 23-year-old sufferer was standing on the northbound D platform on the thirty fourth Street-Herald Square station round 4:30 a.m. when a person punched her and put her in a headlock, based on police. 

The mugger grabbed her bag after which fled, cops mentioned. 

The sufferer was taken to Lenox Hill HealthPlex with minor accidents, police mentioned. 

The incident got here a day after Akeem Loney, 32, was stabbed to loss of life in an apparently random assault as he slept on a northbound 2 prepare that was pulling into Penn Station, cops mentioned. 

Investigators later launched surveillance images of the suspect.
